BLACK IS WHACK!

Black is whack!
better go buy good complexion
in a jar
cause blackness out of style
and send for your hair
by way of airmail
from the country of the
long haired Gods.
Bleached out faces,
bleached out races
they’d rather see us
lighter than a brown paper bag
than ebony or deep mahogany
or caramel
better be ecrue or cream or mauve or yellow
but don’t be black
no don’t do that
cause black is whack.

Can’t be black
in the magazines
can’t be black on the job
can’t be black in your own country
can’t be black like dat
cause black is whack

Can’t have black babies
unless they have good hair
can’t have dreadlocks unless
you’re "Brittany Spears"
Can’t have big ass
unless you "JLO"
can’t have Big lips unless
you’re "Angelina"
Blackness out of style
[but only if you black]
cause then and only then
BLACK IS WHACK!!!!
