FEBRUARY
- February 11: ENGLERSTON COMMUNITY CONVENTION. Independent candidate for Englerston, Alex Morley, will fully explain his platform at the Englerston Community Convention. He is also inviting the people of Englerston to come out and let him know about the issues affecting the community. The goal is to draw up a solid plan that adequately addresses the needs of the community. Come out to the Englerston Park on Saturday, February 11th from 2pm-10pm to have your say! Presenations begin at 5pm. Freedom is a must!
- February 17: ST. AUGUSTINE’S COLLEGE ALUMNI & PTA OLE SCHOOL DANCE. The SAC Alumni Association and PTA present our “Remember When” Old School Dance. Come on out and do the Twist, Hully Gully and Electric Slide with the Sacers. Afros, food, folks, fun and old school tunes at Xavier’s Hall. For more information please call 424-6311 or 425-0394. APRIL
- April 6 – 9: AFRICAN SOCIALIST INTERNATIONAL (ASI) CARIBBEAN & LATIN AMERICAN CONFERENCE. Under the theme: "Uniting the World – Joining the Revolutionary Party for Libertation!" the African Socialist International will host a Caribbean & Latin American Regional Conference in Nassau, The Bahamas. The goal of the conference is to unite Africans world-wide and to build the ranks of a revolutionary organization that has declared this as the era of world-wide African Revolution and socialist re-unification of Africa and African people under the leadership of the African workers and peasants.
